Your show host Robert and special guest Lauren Fix. Lauren is a nationally recognized automotive expert, and goes by the title "The Car Coach". She has written numerous books on automotive car care and racing. She has been an automotive correspondent and contributor on The Weather Channel, Fox News, MSNBC, Discovery, Speed, CNN and many more. She has made guest appearances on The Stossel Report, Regis and Kelly, 20/20, Today and Opra. In 2012 Lauren won the SBN, (SEMA Businesswomen Network) "Woman of the Year award" and the "Automotive Communications Award", presented by the Car Care Council. In 2009 she was inducted into the National Women and Transportation Hall Of Fame. Lauren interests in cars started at an early age, influenced by her father ultimately starting a business in her native Detroit area, manufacturing stainless steel brake components for Ford Mustangs and branching out into other vintage makes and models. Her racing interest began when she started autocrossing cars in SCCA and eventually competing in vintage with SVRA, HSR with a 1966 Trans-Am Mustang. Her favorite car is a Shelby Mustang, but she is also a big Porsche, Audi and BMW fan as well as vintage european exotics. She and her husband also operate and automotive aftermaket parts company in New York State.
