Your show Host Robert with special alumni guest Derek Hill. Derek comes from racing heritage, his father, Phil Hill, being the first American to win the Formula One World Championship and first American-born citizen to win the Le Mans 24 Hours. Derek himself, is an accomplished racing driver, car commercial precision-driver and on-screen talent. He is also the Master of Ceremonies for the prestigious Concours d’Elegance car show at Pebble Beach. Derek, with a racing past in Endurance and Formula Car racing in the U.S. and Europe, now competes in Historic racing events, racing such cars as a 1962 Maserati and 1964 Cobra Daytona, placing wins at the Goodwood Revival and Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. Derek is preserving his father’s legacy having just released a biographical photo book on his father’s career and is working on a documentary film. He was featured in an episode of Chasing Classic Cars taking one of his late-father’s old cars to Pebble Beach and has been seen driving some of the world’s most valuable cars at speed, most notably a 1964 Ferrari GTO on what has been Petrolicous.com’s most highly viewed video.
