Your show host Robert with special guest Peter Sontag. Peter has been organizing and conducting Porsche trips for the PORSCHE Club of America members and friends for the past 39 years. Peter’s current travel company “Fast Lane Travel” says it all. The trips focus on automotive enthusiasts and include special tours and European delivery programs through the Porsche factory in Stuttgart Germany. There are also special trips and driving events throughout other parts of Europe such as Austria Switzerland and Italy. Peter also hosts an unforgettable experience at the “24 hr de LeMans” road race held each year in France. In 1986 Peter started USTravel, Inc., which he grew to the third largest travel distributor in the U.S. with sales of $2.4 billion and 540 offices in the U.S. plus 400 franchisees. The company was later sold in 1994. After that, he was Chairman and part-owner of one of the largest distributors of hotel rooms in the country which was successfully sold to trip.com. Peter, currently, serves on 2 corporate boards and lectures at the Entrepreneurship School at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Two years ago, Business Travel News Magazine honored Peter, along with a few other industry leaders as having been elected four or more times as one of the 25 most influential executives in the travel and transportation industry. Peter is a native of Austria and holds dual Austrian and US citizenships.
