Your show host Robert and special guest Roger Penske. Roger heads up the Penske Corporation, a multinational company that includes the Penske Automotive Group, Penske Truck leasing, Ilmor Engines, and Penske Racing to name a few. Roger's passion for auto racing began in the late 50's. His first race car was a 1957 Corvette which he used to obtain his racing license and which he drove in numerous SCCA events. He would buy, fix and sell race cars to support his hobby. By 1961 he was named Driver of The Year. He competed with some of the best - Gurney, Fangio, Hill, Moss, Jones and Weatherly. Roger successfully campaigned and competed in Sportscar, Nascar and F1 in the U.S and Europe. In 1963 he won all three driving events at Nassau piloting Jim Hall's Chaparral. By 1965, Roger hung up his helmet to pursue the aquisition of a Cheverolet dealership which evolved into the Penske empire. Today Roger presides over one of the most winningest racing organizations in U.S history. In addition to his racing enterprise, Roger also has a private car collection with a Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing being one of his favorites.
