Your show host Robert and special guest Dan Gurney. Dan is a an American Racing Icon. He started his career in the early 50's racing hot rods on the dry lakes and salt flats, then later a little drag racing. He then ventured into sport car racing and found his calling. He competed in road racing events around the world, Riverside, Daytona, Sebring, Le'Mans, Nurburgring, Spa and Monza to name a few. Dan has raced, Indy cars, F1, GT cars, Trans-Am, Can-Am and Nascar, and is one of only two Amercan drivers to win races in all events. Dan has raced Fords, Porsches, Ferraris, Lotus, BRM and even his own Gurney Eagle F1 car. Dan is responsible for many innovations in racing. In 1970 he retired from racing and continued All American Racers (AAR), building race cars and components. Dan also became a team owner campaigning his own cars. He was inducted into the Motorsports Hall Of Fame. He is still active in the racing world and there is also a book dedicated to the Eagle race cars built by Dan Gurney - Dan Gurney For President!
